Turkey
Turkish Delight
Rich in history, bathed in sunshine, and with an air of the exotic - add to that a range of property at excellent prices, and you can see why Turkey is gaining popularity with British house buyers. Inexpensive flights make it accessible, and a low cost of living make it a “Turkish” delight once you’re there.
Aegean Coast
The Aegean coastline has long been Turkey’s overseas tourist mecca and now a property hotspot
Altinkum is a busy resort receptive to the demands of the holiday maker. The main beach in Altinkum is a large bay of golden sand with shallow water making it very popular. Watersports are plentiful here so there is always something to watch or take part in. It is a popular resort even among Turkish holiday makers. Many supermarkets are conveniently located making it easy for self-catering and buying provisions.
Further along the coast is Bodrum, also a popular holiday resort. Enchanting villages of houses painted in white trimmed with purple bougainvillea, plus miles of sandy beaches make this an attractive location and also ideal for water sports. Despite the crowds and development, Bodrum retains its charm and is steeped in history with several historic monuments such as the castle, Myndus Gate, the Roman Theatre and the Mausoleum. While the nights in Bodrum are lively and busy, the smaller villages offer cozy taverns and restaurants overlooking quiet bays.
